Marking New Chapter in Pakistan-Russia Relations

Islamabad - 28 October 2024: The Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matvienko, met with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, resulting in a significant advancement in the relationship between the two countries. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Federation Council of Russia and the Senate of Pakistan, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to furthering bilateral cooperation and dialogue.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the traditionally friendly relations shared by Russia and Pakistan, which are marked by an active political dialogue at the highest levels and robust inter-parliamentary relations.
