Pakistan’s peace diplomacy gains recognition as Canada appreciates its role in facilitating U.S.–Iran talks during Islamabad Talks
Islamabad – 14 April 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, spoked late last night with Canada’s Foreign Minister, Anita Anand, to exchange views on recent developments, including the U.S.–Iran negotiations held during the Islamabad Talks.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anand appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue.
Underscoring the importance of all parties adhering to a ceasefire, DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continuing its support for dialogue and diplomacy.
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact.
