Federal Secretary for Science and Technology Inaugurates Space Gallery at PMNH
Islamabad – 15 July 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoS inT), Shahid Iqbal Baloch, today inaugurated the Space Gallery at Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), established by Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) in collaboration with the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF). This initiative has been developed with the core mission of promoting space education and strengthening public appreciation for the advancements in space science and technology.
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Secretary appreciated SUPARCO’s efforts in establishing the Space Gallery and commended the initiative for promoting space education and creating public awareness of the importance of space science and technology, says press note.
The gallery offers an immersive experience through a variety of engaging exhibits, scientific models, and digital displays. The gallery also highlights Pakistan’s own significant contribution to the peaceful exploration and utilization of outer space. Through interactive exhibits and educational displays, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of how space technology contributes to everyday life, from disaster management and agriculture to environmental monitoring, communication, navigation and national development.
The Space Gallery is open to students, educators, families and the general public, providing an interactive destination for anyone interested in exploring the fascinating world of space science and technology.
