Islamabad: Imran Khan has written a third letter to the Army Chief, raising concerns about alleged electoral fraud that, according to him, favors a minority over the majority, his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry revealed on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Chaudhry stated that the PTI founder expressed concerns about individuals involved in money laundering being placed in positions of power. He confirmed that the contents of the letter will be disclosed later today.
Key Points from Faisal Chaudhry’s Statement:
- PTI continues to demand the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 incident.
- Raids in Punjab have reportedly continued despite the February 8 elections.
- Amir Dogar has joined the opposition’s negotiation committee, with additional members added to the political committee.
- Lawyer Intizar Panjotha was allegedly denied entry to the jail, and lawyers were not permitted to attend the jail trial. A request for an open trial in the GHQ case is set to be filed.
It is worth noting that in previous letters, Imran Khan had urged the Army Chief to consider policy changes. However, security sources have denied receiving any such communication, stating that there is no interest in reading it.
