EU, Team Europe Reaffirm Support for Ukraine on Russia Invasion Anniversary

The EU Delegation, Team Europe, and the Ukrainian Embassy commemorated the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine at a solemn event held at the Embassy of Poland in Islamabad. n a joint statement, the organisers condemned Russia’s continued aggression, particularly its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure during winter. They called on Moscow to cease hostilities, withdraw its forces from Ukrainian territory, and engage in meaningful peace negotiations.

Ukrainian Ambassador Markiian Chuchuk reflected on Ukraine’s four-year struggle for freedom, highlighting the immense human cost of the conflict and the displacement of millions of people. He thanked Pakistan for its principled stance and encouraged Islamabad to support international efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace.

EU Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis, representing Team Europe, praised Ukraine’s resilience and reaffirmed Europe’s unwavering support. German Ambassador Ina Lepel emphasized the EU’s €90 billion support package for Ukraine and described Russia’s actions as war crimes. Polish Ambassador Maciej Pisarski echoed these concerns, condemning attacks on residential areas and calling for an immediate end to the war.
