On 5 July 2024, the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad hosted the grand finale of the ASEAN Movie Nights programme, organized by the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI). This event aimed to highlight ASEAN countries’ rich film and cultural heritage. The finale featured Malaysia’s action film “PASKAL,” based on the true story of the Malaysian Armed Forces’ 2011 rescue of the MV Bunga Laurel from Pirates.
