Tajikistan Invites Pakistani Academics to International Conference
Strengthening Cultural and Academic Cooperation and Invitation to the International Conference on the 35th Anniversary of the
State Independence of Tajikistan
Islamabad – 24 July 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a meeting on 24 July 2026, with the Chairperson of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Dr. Najiba Arif, and the Director General of the National Language Promotion Department, Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the further development of cultural and academic cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan, the expansion of ties between academic and literary institutions, the promotion of literature and shared cultural heritage, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of language, translation, and the exchange of expertise.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of enhancing cultural and humanitarian dialogue, expanding exchanges of academic and literary delegations, and implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador presented official invitations to Dr. Najiba Arif and Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar to participate in the International Conference “Tajikistan and 35 Years of Independence: Peacebuilding Experience, Multilateral Policy, and Sustainable Development.”
