Dr. Shahida and Nafisa Shah Visit Royal Thai Embassy to Convey Condolences on the Passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati
Islamabad – 23 June 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : Dr. Shahida Rehmani, MNA and Secretary of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC), along with Dr. Nafisa Shah, MNA and Chairperson of the Special Committee on Gender Mainstreaming, visited the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad today to convey their condolences on the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati.
The parliamentarians signed the condolence book opened at the Embassy and expressed their deepest sympathies to the Royal Family, the Government, and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand during this period of mourning.

Dr. Shahida Rehmani paid tribute to Her Royal Highness for her distinguished public service and her unwavering commitment to advancing women’s rights, social justice, and community welfare. She noted that the Princess’s contributions towards the empowerment of women and the promotion of human dignity would continue to inspire future generations.
Dr. Nafisa Shah also expressed profound sorrow over the loss and acknowledged the Princess’s significant role in championing social development and women’s empowerment initiatives. She conveyed solidarity with the people of Thailand and offered prayers for the departed soul.
The visit reflected the strong and longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Thailand and reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan’s women parliamentarians to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus extends its heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Thailand and joins them in mourning the loss of a respected and dedicated public servant whose legacy will endure for generations to come.
