Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Urges Withdrawal of Israeli Forces from Occupied Lebanese Territory during meeting with Lebanese PM Nawaf Salam
New York – 25 September 2026 (Adnan Hameed): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a warm and cordial exchange with Prime Minister of Lebanon Nawaf Salam in New York.
According to the statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity, political independence and territorial integrity.
He expressed deep concern over the continuing hostilities and incursions into Lebanese territory and stressed the urgent need for an end to hostilities, full respect for the ceasefire, and withdrawal of Israeli forces from all occupied Lebanese territory.
The two Prime Ministers also discussed strengthening their longstanding fraternal ties through greater cooperation in trade, investment, defence and institutional linkages.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to stand in solidarity with Lebanon and its people in their pursuit of peace, stability and prosperity.
