Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and TIKA Join Hands to Establish Centralized Kitchen for Vulnerable Communities

Islamabad — 30th June 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has partnered with Türkiye’s Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), one of the country’s leading social welfare bodies, to set up a Centralized Kitchen aimed at serving those in need. The partnership was sealed through a memorandum of understanding signed at Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s head office.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan; Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt, Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal; and Saliha Tuna, TIKA’s Country Head. Also on hand for the signing were TIKA’s Deputy Coordinator Ismail Nazliay, Technical Program Officer Waqas Bashir, and several senior PBM officials.

He explained that the new kitchen will be capable of preparing as many as 15,000 hygienic meals each day, which will then be delivered to underprivileged communities via PBM’s mobile vans and shelter homes. He also thanked TIKA’s leadership for their proactive support in helping PBM expand its range of services for the poor.

Saliha Tuna, TIKA’s Country Head, emphasized the significance of the project, voicing confidence that it would deliver quality meals to thousands of people who need them. She described the facility as a modern, automated kitchen that marks a meaningful advance in social protection efforts, offering renewed hope and easier daily life for Pakistan’s most vulnerable populations.
