Pakistan Accuses India of Sponsoring Terrorism in Balochistan

In a recent press briefing, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, accused India of being the primary sponsor of terrorism in Balochistan. His statement comes in the wake of the tragic hijacking of the Jaffar Express train in Bolan district, where terrorists from the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) launched a brutal attack. The assault led to the deaths of 26 passengers and four security personnel, while militants took approximately 440 passengers hostage, using women and children as human shields.

The Pakistan military swiftly responded with a high-stakes 36-hour rescue operation, successfully neutralizing 33 militants and ensuring the safe recovery of all hostages. Lt Gen Chaudhry condemned these attacks as part of India’s long-standing strategy to destabilize Pakistan by fueling terrorism in the region.

Pakistan has consistently raised concerns over India’s alleged involvement in terrorist activities within its borders, urging international bodies to take notice of these violations. The latest incident underscores the persistent security challenges in Balochistan, as Pakistan’s security forces continue their efforts to combat terrorism and safeguard national stability.
