NADRA Warns Citizens About Fake Visa Website

Authority urges users to access services only through official .gov.pk domains to avoid fraud

Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a public advisory warning citizens about a fraudulent website posing as its official visa portal.

According to the authority, the fake website — “https://www.visa.nadragov.online/” — is not linked to NADRA and may be designed to steal personal information or collect payments through deceptive means. Officials warned that unsuspecting users could become victims of online fraud if they enter sensitive details on the site.

NADRA clarified that the only legitimate visa portal operated by the authority is “https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/”. Citizens seeking visa-related services have been strongly advised to verify website addresses carefully before submitting any information.

The authority emphasized that all official NADRA online services operate exclusively on domains ending with “.gov.pk”. Any website using a different domain should be treated as suspicious and avoided.

Officials further urged the public not to share personal data, identity details, or payment information on unverified websites. They also encouraged citizens to report suspicious portals that claim to represent NADRA.

The advisory comes amid growing concerns over phishing scams and fake government websites designed to exploit users seeking online services. Authorities say vigilance and verifying official domains are key steps to protecting personal data and preventing cyber fraud.
