“K-WAVE Festa” to bring Korean traditions, tourism, and entertainment under one roof
Korean cultural festival to offer free access to language, games, and performances to strengthen cultural ties through music, beauty, and tourism
Islamabad – 17 May 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : The Embassy of the Republic of Korea will host a Korea Week event titled “K-WAVE Festa” on Saturday, May 02, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the SBC Lawn, Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The event will feature “All About Korea,” open to the public from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with no pre-registration or admission fee.
Promotional booths by Samsung, Lotte Kolson, KOICA, KOPIA, and HRD Korea will present various aspects of Korea. Activities will include Korean language and culture programs by the King Sejong Institute, introductory Korean language sessions, traditional crafts (Najeon DIY), and Hanbok experience.
Hallyu Fan Club (K-Con) activities, K-pop culture and tourism promotion, K-beauty promotion booth, traditional Korean games and food experiences, and Korean tourism and digital public diplomacy showcases will also be part of the event.
A K-Beauty Master Class will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM as an exclusive PR session for influencers, featuring personal color quick tests and K-idol makeup styling session.
The session will be broadcast live on the venue’s SMD screen and streamed via Instagram Live and the Embassy’s YouTube channel.
The K-POP Festiva, National Preliminary Round will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will be open to the public with no pre-registration or admission fee.
The program includes K-POP vocal performances by three teams, a special stage performance by a winning team from the 2025 competition, and K-POP dance performances by four teams.
The opening ceremony will feature a special K-pop performance by Faryal Amber from Pakistan Idol.
