Officials in Hainan brief international journalists on the advantages and readiness of the Free Trade Port’s special customs system
Hainan – 26 November 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : The Hainan Free Trade Port will officially launch island-wide special customs operations on upcoming December 18, 2025 which has attracted great attention from the international community, particularly in media outlets.
Recently, a visiting media group consists of media reporters from 33 Global South countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, India, Laos, Turkey, Thailand, Brazil, CostaRica, Chile, Uruguay, Jamaica, Egypt, Tunisia, and BosniaandHerzegovina in Hainan Province, have paid particular attention to the latest progress in the preparations and particular advantages the Hainan Free Trade Port have in strengthening economic and trade cooperation with the Global South, says press note.
On the morning of November 24, at a news briefing, leading officials from relevant Hainan government agencies, answered questions from the visiting media group.
