Chairperson NCRC meet Portuguese Ambassador discussed Children’s Rights issues
Islamabad – 19 July 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : The Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan, Paulo Guedes Domingues, received Ayesha Raza Farooq, Chairperson of the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), for a courtesy meeting at the Embassy.
During the meeting, Farooq presented the NCRC’s key initiatives and provided an overview of the current state of children’s rights in Pakistan, highlighting both the progress achieved and the challenges that remain in ensuring the protection and well-being of children, says press note.
The discussion also explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the Embassy of Portugal and the NCRC through future joint initiatives aimed at promoting and protecting children’s rights.
Ambassador Paulo Guedes Domingues commended the important work carried out by the NCRC and reaffirmed the Embassy of Portugal’s readiness to foster dialogue and cooperation in this important area.
