Islamabad – 20 September 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has said that Pakistan-China diplomatic relations are not merely a 75-year journey but a remarkable story of mutual trust, respect, friendship and steadfast support. Established on May 21, 1951, the relationship has evolved into a strong, stable and multifaceted partnership. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized by Diplomatic Focus to mark the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chinese Ambassador, diplomats, parliamentarians, intellectuals, media representatives and other prominent personalities.
The Deputy Chairman Senate said that despite changing regional and global circumstances, Pakistan-China relations had maintained continuity and stability. He noted that both countries had consistently respected each other’s sovereignty, national interests and right to development while standing together during challenging times, says press note.
Syedaal Khan Nasar highlighted the vast potential for enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, education, agriculture, health, science and technology, energy, infrastructure and people-to-people contacts. He described CPEC as a key manifestation of the bilateral partnership, opening new avenues for connectivity, infrastructure, energy and industrial cooperation. He emphasized the importance of parliamentary and public diplomacy, saying that parliamentary exchanges, media, academia, business communities and people-to-people contacts could further strengthen mutual understanding and bilateral ties.
The Deputy Chairman Senate congratulated the leadership and people of China on the 75th anniversary and expressed the hope that Pakistan-China relations would continue to contribute to peace, prosperity, development and regional stability.
He appreciated Diplomatic Focus, particularly CEO Mian Fazal Elahi, for organizing the meaningful event to highlight the enduring Pakistan-China friendship and promote greater understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
