Pakistan EPS Center upgrades Korean language exam system

Pakistan EPS Center Modernizes Korean Language Examination Process

Tablet-Based Testing to Improve Accessibility for EPS-TOPIK Applicants

Islamabad – 1st June 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : The Pakistan EPS (Employment Permit System) Center has announced the introduction of the tablet-based Ubiquitous-Based Testing (UBT) system for the EPS-TOPIK Korean language test from 2026, replacing the existing Computer-Based Testing (CBT) method.

The UBT system will operate through a secure closed wireless local network without requiring live internet connectivity. The platform enables real-time synchronization between supervisors and examinees while ensuring stable examination operations.

To enhance examination security and fairness, the system incorporates AI-powered facial recognition technology and real-time monitoring functions aimed at preventing malpractice.

Pakistan has been selected as one of the inaugural countries for the 2026 UBT rollout in response to increasing demand for Korean language testing and challenges related to power and internet infrastructure. The system includes real-time data backup and recovery mechanisms to protect examination data during power outages or network disruptions.

According to the Pakistan EPS Center, the UBT system will reduce the financial and logistical requirements associated with establishing and maintaining large-scale CBT centers by utilizing portable digital equipment.

The EPS Center will work in collaboration with Pakistan’s Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) to gradually expand test venues across the country, with the objective of reducing travel burdens and costs for applicants from remote areas.
