The Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad organized a colorful reception to mark the 55th Anniversary of Independence and National Day. The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan, along with his spouse, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests.
On behalf of the Government of Pakistan, the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The event was also attended by the senators and members of the National Assembly, members of provincial assemblies, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, members of the business community, journalists, civil society representatives and members of the Bangladeshi diaspora were present at the event.
