Thailand National Day

Thailand observed its National Day in Islamabad, with Ambassador Rongvudhi Virabutr emphasizing the significance of the occasion, which also commemorates the Birthday Anniversary of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thailand’s Father’s Day. The event took place during a period of national mourning following the passing of Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.

The ambassador highlighted King Bhumibol’s 70-year reign and his over 4,000 Royal Projects, noting the UN’s recognition of December 5 as World Soil Day in honor of the late King’s contributions to soil science. He reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to deepening its friendship with Pakistan as both countries approach 75 years of diplomatic ties in 2026.
