Pakistanis Deported Amid Immigration Crackdowns

Dozens Expelled Over Alleged Illegal Activities
Last week, 47 Pakistani nationals have been deported from Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, and seven other countries, immigration sources reported Monday. The deportations were linked to drug trafficking and illegal entry attempts.

Saudi Arabia expelled six Pakistanis for drug offenses, while Azerbaijan deported four individuals deemed “unpleasant.” Additionally, four Pakistanis attempting illegal entry into Malaysia and Iraq were sent back. Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe also deported two Pakistani nationals.

Passengers Offloaded at Karachi Airport
At Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, authorities offloaded 30 Pakistanis attempting to travel abroad. Among them, 14 Umrah pilgrims were stopped due to hotel booking issues and insufficient funds. Two others heading to the UK and Azerbaijan, along with 14 traveling on work visas, were also prevented from flying.

FIA Detains Five Over Human Smuggling
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained five Pakistanis arriving from Mauritania at Karachi airport. Officials revealed they paid traffickers Rs2.5 million to Rs3.5 million for illegal passage to Europe but chose to return instead of taking a sea route.

They were handed over to the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle for investigation. Authorities are tightening immigration controls, with FIA officials intensifying efforts to curb illegal migration.
