Elon Musk Denies ‘Hostile Takeover’

In a surprise appearance at the White House on Tuesday, Elon Musk dismissed claims that he is leading a “hostile takeover” of the U.S. government. He also defended his cost-cutting initiatives, which aim to streamline federal operations.

Standing alongside President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, Musk addressed reporters, reaffirming his commitment to reducing government spending. As part of this effort, Trump signed an executive order granting the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) greater authority to downsize the federal workforce. The order also instructed government agency heads to cooperate with Doge’s initiatives.

The newly empowered agency has faced criticism from Democrats, who argue that it lacks transparency. Additionally, legal challenges have posed obstacles to its efforts to implement reforms.

Despite the controversy, Musk emphasized that the objective is to create a more efficient and cost-effective government structure.
