Alexandra Berg von Linde Urges Green Innovation in Pakistan-Sweden Partnership

Islamabad – 16 September 2025 : (Adnan Hameed) : Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, met with Sweden’s Ambassador, Alexandra Berg von Linde. The meeting included a detailed discussion on the recent floods and related devastation.

Pakistan and Sweden agreed to strengthen climate cooperation and promote green innovation. Emphasis was placed on encouraging youth-led green startups. A proposal was presented to develop a Green University as a hub for research and education. Discussions were also held on student and faculty exchanges between the two countries. Sustainable housing projects and urban resilience were also deliberated upon.

On the occasion, Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde invited Dr. Musadik Malik to participate in the Sweden Pavilion during COP30 in Brazil. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to joint initiatives and collaboration in global climate diplomacy.
