PTDC Hosts Grand Reception to Honor Central Asia Friendship Rally 2025 Participants

Friendship on Wheels: Central Asia Rally Riders Honored at Mövenpick Islamabad


Islamabad – 26 August 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) arranged a welcome reception at Mövenpick Islamabad, hosted by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister’s National Coordinator on Tourism, to honor the bikers of the Central Asia Friendship Rally 2025 after their successful 26-day journey, covering over 5,500 km across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.

Chief Guest Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Secretary Ministry of IPC and Aftab ur Rehman Rana, MD PTDC praised the riders for promoting regional tourism and cultural connectivity. Rovshan Alimov, Deputy Head of Mission of Uzbekistan, appreciated PTDC’s efforts in strengthening tourism and cultural exchange between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Group Leader Mukarram Tareen called the expedition “extraordinary and memorable,” thanking PTDC and Pakistan’s missions abroad for their seamless support.


Certificates were distributed among the participants by the Chief Guest. Souvenirs were presented to special guests and the event concluded with a group photo session and a hi-tea hosted by Mövenpick Islamabad.
