Acclaimed Pakistani Filmmaker Keen to Explore Ethiopia’s Rich Tourism and Diverse Culture
Samar Raza explores Ethiopia’s heritage and tourism potential

An internationally acclaimed filmmaker from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Samar Raza, visited the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, holding a productive meeting with Chargé d’Affaires (ad Interim), Chalachew Eshetie.

The two sides explored various avenues of bilateral cooperation including joint initiatives for promoting Ethiopia’s rich tourism, centuries-old heritage, and diverse culture through collaborations in the media sector, say’s press note.


Chalachew Eshetie briefed Samar Raza, who is also the President of Global Peace Journey, about Ethiopia’s tourism potential, which has been significantly transformed under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali.
He highlighted Ethiopia’s centuries-old heritage, describing it the “Land of Origin” and the third-largest diplomatic hub due to its capital city Addis Ababa, hosting the headquarters of the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

Samar Raza expressed great admiration for Ethiopia and a keen interest in learning about its history, culture, heritage, and tourism for global promotion.
He also shared his achievements and briefed the Chargé d’Affaires (ad Interim) on the functions and operations of his organization—the Global Peace Journey.
