Pakistan Sends 70 Tonnes of Relief Supplies to Myanmar

Pakistan has sent 70 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Myanmar in response to the catastrophic 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck on March 28, leaving over 2,700 people dead. The aid, delivered in two consignments of 35 tonnes each, includes essential supplies such as tents, tarpaulins, blankets, ready-to-eat meals, medicines, and water modules to support the affected communities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to assisting Myanmar in this time of crisis, expressing solidarity with the victims and their families. Myanmar’s ambassador to Pakistan acknowledged and appreciated the swift response, highlighting the importance of global cooperation in disaster relief efforts.

This humanitarian initiative reflects Pakistan’s dedication to aiding countries in distress and underscores the importance of international support in the wake of natural disasters.
