Pakistan Navy Rescues 18 Foreign Crew in Swift North Arabian Sea Operation

Commitment Beyond Borders: Pakistan Navy Rescues Foreign Crew in Maritime Emergency

Karachi – 10 April 2026 (MT Team) : In a swift humanitarian operation, Pakistan Navy successfully rescued and evacuated 18 crew members including nationals of China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam and Indonesia, following a distress call from Merchant Vessel (MV) GOLD AUTUMN, operating in North Arabian Sea at 200 Nautical Miles (Approx 370 km) off Pakistan’s coast.

PNS HUNAIN conducted a Search and Rescue operation with high professionalism and expertise. The ship’s team of specialists provided medical aid, assisted in firefighting, carried out damage assessment, and successfully rescued the crew. The evacuated crew were safely transported to Karachi for medical care and repatriation to their respective countries.

Humanitarian assistance rendered by Pakistan Navy Ship at extended ranges off Pakistan’s coast reflects Pakistan Navy’s continued resolve and commitment for always being the first responder to maritime crisis situations in respective Area of Responsibility.
