Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic agree to strengthen cultural cooperation with plans for Kyrgyz Days of Culture in Pakistan
Islamabad – 15 January 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Kylychbek Sultan, had a meeting with the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture of Pakistan, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on January 13, 2026 in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with a special emphasis on practical issues of organizing the Days of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in Pakistan, says press note.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group that will coordinate the preparation and holding of this cultural event. The parties also expressed their intention to develop a program of joint cultural initiatives, including events dedicated to the celebration of Nooruz.
The interlocutors emphasized that the holding of the Days of Culture will be an important step in strengthening friendly ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and will contribute to the further development of cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
