Empowering Pakistan’s Youth | OGDCL, PMYP & NAVTTC

OGDCL Partners with PMYP & NAVTTC to Launch Transformative Initiatives

A Historic Partnership for Youth Empowerment

Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has officially partnered with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to roll out wide-ranging initiatives aimed at empowering the young generation of Pakistan.

This landmark collaboration, signed under OGDCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, focuses on vocational training, employment generation, sports, environmental sustainability, and civic engagement. Together, the three organizations are working to build a skilled, inclusive, and future-ready Pakistan.

Key Focus Areas

The partnership will deliver programs that target youth from underserved and remote communities, bridging the gap between talent and opportunity. The initiatives include:

  • Vocational & Technical Training – equipping young Pakistanis with job-ready skills.

  • Employment Generation – creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods.

  • Sports Development – promoting health, teamwork, and community cohesion through youth sports programs.

  • Environmental Sustainability – launching green initiatives that encourage climate awareness and responsibility.

  • Civic Engagement – fostering active citizenship and volunteerism among youth.

Why It Matters

Pakistan’s youth represent nearly two-thirds of the population, making them the driving force behind national progress. Yet many remain disconnected from opportunities due to limited access, especially in rural and underserved areas.

This initiative directly addresses those challenges by:

  • Providing free or funded technical training and certification.

  • Connecting young people to real employment opportunities.

  • Ensuring inclusivity and regional diversity in program selection.

  • Building holistic development beyond jobs—through sports, environment, and civic engagement.

Building on Past Success

This is not OGDCL’s first step in youth empowerment. Under its CSR initiatives, the company has previously sponsored skills programs that supported hundreds of students with technical training, stipends, and career guidance.

The new tripartite partnership significantly expands the scale and scope of such efforts, ensuring that thousands more youth across Pakistan benefit from these opportunities.

Looking Ahead

The first phase will engage 1,000 young participants between the ages of 15–35 from across Pakistan. Programs will include short courses, certifications, sports events, environmental campaigns, and civic engagement projects.

By combining resources and expertise, OGDCL, PMYP, and NAVTTC are paving the way for a future-ready workforce capable of contributing to both Pakistan’s economy and its social development.
