Ambassador Mazlan inaugurates Malaysian Food Festival in Islamabad
Islamabad – 7 September 2025 – (Adnan Hameed) : The High Commission of Malaysia in collaboration with Serena Hotel launched the “Journey to Malaysia: Exploring Diverse Flavors and Culinary Traditions of Southeast Asia” Food Festival at Zamana Restaurant.
The week-long festival was inaugurated by Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, and Christoph Hoeflich, General Manager of Serena Hotel.
Chefs flown in from Malaysia are serving authentic dishes including Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, and Teh Tarik, reflecting the nation’s diverse Malay, Chinese, and Indian culinary traditions.
Ambassador Azhar highlighted that the festival coincides with Malaysia’s 68th National Day and promotes upcoming initiatives such as ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 and Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
The festival runs daily from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM until September 10 at Zamana Restaurant, Serena Hotel, Islamabad.
