Malaysian High Commissioner Reaffirms Commitment to Friendship, Cooperation, and Shared Prosperity


Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, hosts a Hi-Tea Reception in Islamabad to engage with stakeholders and reaffirm the enduring friendship between Malaysia and Pakistan

Islamabad – 8 November 2025 (Adnan Hameed): The High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad hosted a Hi-Tea Reception to engage with key stakeholders and friends of Malaysia in Pakistan, reaffirming its commitment to deepen bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.


The event brought together a gathering of businessmen, representatives from chambers of commerce, government officials, media personnel, and long-standing friends of Malaysia. The reception served as a platform for strengthening friendship and cooperation, while exploring new avenues of collaboration in trade, education, and culture.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, expressed gratitude to the guests for their continuous support in fostering strong Malaysia–Pakistan relations. He emphasized that both countries enjoy a long-standing and cordial partnership, grounded in mutual respect, shared values, and a common aspiration for progress and prosperity.

Highlighting the recent official visit of the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, to Malaysia, Ambassador Azhar Mazlan termed it “highly successful and productive.” He noted that the discussions between both leaders were held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, further solidifying mutual trust and understanding.

The High Commissioner underscored that both sides have agreed to strengthen cooperation in key sectors, particularly in education, technical and vocational training, and institutional partnerships to enhance human capital development in both nations.


The event provided an excellent networking opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and build partnerships aimed at mutual growth. It also reaffirmed Malaysia’s continued engagement with its friends and stakeholders in Pakistan, in pursuit of shared development and regional prosperity.
