Karachi University hosts “Battle for Truth” art exhibition celebrating Pakistan Armed forces victory
Karachi -10 August 2025 (MT Team) : Following the recent Pakistan-India conflict, dubbed the Battle for Truth, the Department of Visual Studies at the University of Karachi organized a fine arts exhibition to honor the remarkable victory of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The day long exhibition was held at the department’s gallery hall and showcased a wide array of creative expressions, including paintings, sculptures, installation art, and mixed media works, each highlighting the bravery, sacrifices, and patriotic spirit of the nation’s defenders.
Titled Marka-e-Haq (Battle for Truth), the exhibition featured over 100 artworks contributed by students from Visual Studies and other departments across the university. Every piece reflected a deep emotional and creative tribute to the courage, service, and unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s military.
The in-charge KU’s VS Syed Shamoon Haider mentioned that this art is not just about aesthetics, it is a reflection of our collective consciousness and national pride. Through their work, students have shown that every citizen, regardless of their field, stands in solidarity with those who protect our homeland.
Among the standout pieces were poignant portraits of martyrs, vivid depictions of battle scenes, dynamic representations of the Air Force and Navy in action, and a striking 3D installation that captivated attendees.
The exhibition drew a large and enthusiastic crowd from across campus, with students coming together to pay homage to the heroes of the Battle for Truth through the language of art.
