JUI-F Plans Post-Eid Protests, Considers Alliance with PTI

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has announced plans to launch a protest campaign against the government’s policies after Eid, signaling a potential realignment in Pakistan’s political landscape. Party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated that a consultative meeting will be held to decide on a possible alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for this movement.

While PTI’s core leadership remains incarcerated, Fazlur Rehman acknowledged that tensions between the two parties have eased, paving the way for potential collaboration. If realized, this alliance could significantly impact the opposition’s collective strength and reshape the country’s political dynamics.

This development comes at a time when dissatisfaction with the current administration’s policies is growing. Opposition parties are seeking common ground to challenge the government, and JUI-F’s willingness to engage with PTI underscores a strategic shift in its approach. The post-Eid protests could mark a turning point in Pakistan’s political discourse, as parties navigate alliances to address shared concerns over governance and economic policies.
