Japan in Art; Exhibition Now Open at PNCA Islamabad
Islamabad – 26 March 2026 (MT Team) : The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association (PJCA) Islamabad, presents a vibrant painting exhibition “Japan in Art” showcasing the rich cultural bonds between Japan and Pakistan!
40 stunning works by emerging Pakistani artists reimagining Japanese socio-cultural life Innovative lenses, delicate brushstrokes, and timeless artistry of woodblock printing
Inaugurated by Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan, Ayoub Jamali, DG PNCA, and Jamal Shah, President PJCA Islamabad.

“This exhibition is a testament to the strong bonds between our two countries and showcases the talent of Pakistani artists” Ayoub Jamali, DG PNCA.
Ambassador Akamatsu presented the Ambassador’s Commendation for 2026 to Jamal Shah for advancing Japan-Pakistan cultural ties.
The Exhibition will remain open for public from 25 March to 6th April 2026 (Closed on Fridays to Sundays) at National Art Gallery, PNCA, Islamabad.
