Reports citing CNN say that the United States has lost several aircraft during the ongoing conflict with Iran, highlighting the growing intensity of the war and the risks faced by military forces in the region. According to these reports, at least seven U.S. aircraft have been destroyed or lost since the start of the conflict, which began in late February. The incidents include aircraft shot down in combat, crashes during operations, and equipment damaged in Iranian attacks.
One of the most significant developments occurred when two U.S. military aircraft—an F-15 fighter jet and an A-10 attack aircraft—were lost in separate incidents on the same day, raising the total number of lost aircraft to seven. In the case of the F-15, two crew members ejected from the aircraft after it was hit, and search-and-rescue operations were launched. Reports indicated that one pilot was rescued while the status of the second remained uncertain for some time.
Earlier in the conflict, three U.S. F-15 fighter jets were also lost in a friendly-fire incident involving Kuwaiti air defenses, though all crew members survived after ejecting safely. Additionally, a U.S. refueling tanker crashed in Iraq during operations related to the war, causing casualties among U.S. personnel.
The conflict has significantly escalated tensions across the Middle East, with both sides launching missile, drone, and air attacks. Military analysts warn that the situation remains volatile and could further destabilize the region if hostilities continue.
