Iranian Ambassador Condoles Martyrdom of 17 Pakistani Soldiers, Calls for United Fight Against Terrorism
Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam Expresses Solidarity with Pakistan, Urges Regional Unity to Eliminate Terrorism
Islamabad – 8 October 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic martyrdom of 17 personnel of Pakistan’s security forces.
In a condolence message posted on his official Twitter account, Dr. Amiri Moghadam extended heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the Government, Armed Forces, and people of Pakistan, particularly to the bereaved families.
“May Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the souls of the departed and bestow strength and patience upon their families,” he said.
Condemning terrorism, the Iranian Ambassador termed it a sinister design of cowardly elements seeking to destabilize the region and obstruct its path toward sustainable development.
He emphasized that terrorism, imported and fueled by malicious machinations, is a shared menace across the region, where traitorous elements in collusion with international terrorism target peace, security, and stability.
Dr. Amiri Moghadam underscored the need for collective, determined, and united efforts at both regional and international levels to eradicate all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, which have claimed countless innocent lives over the decades.
