iPhone Prices Set to Rise in Pakistan

Recent U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports are poised to drive up iPhone prices worldwide, and Pakistan is no exception. Due to these global shifts—and additional local taxation policies—consumers in Pakistan can expect a significant increase in smartphone costs.

For instance, the PTA-approved iPhone 15, which was previously priced around PKR 345,000, may now cost nearly PKR 390,000. This jump is largely attributed to a 25% sales tax on high-end smartphones introduced by the Pakistani government, aimed at boosting revenue amid economic pressures.

Although some social media claims suggest iPhones are being sold for up to PKR 1 million, there is no verified evidence to support these exaggerated figures. Still, the rising costs are real, and consumers are advised to stay updated on tariff changes and make well-informed purchasing decisions.

As global trade policies evolve and local taxes remain high, smartphone affordability in Pakistan may become an increasing challenge—especially for premium models. Tech-savvy buyers should explore official channels, consider timing their purchases strategically, and stay alert for promotions or installment plans that can ease the financial burden.
