A Lifesaving Initiative:
45 Free Mammography Camps The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has launched a sweeping effort to improve access to breast cancer screening in its operational regions. In partnership with the Cancer Care Hospital & Research Centre Foundation (CCH&RCF), OGDCL is funding 45 free mammography and ultrasound camps across Pakistan. Targeted particularly at underserved districts, the three-year initiative aims to screen around 1,500 women annually for early detection of breast cancer.
From Detection to Lifelong Support
Beyond screening, the program ensures that those diagnosed receive free lifelong treatment through CCH&RCF. This comprehensive approach is intended to reduce delays in care and improve patient survival, reinforcing the importance of early intervention in cancer control.
Cutting‑Edge Cancer Care:
Radiation Machine Installation To enhance treatment capabilities nationwide, OGDCL is also funding a state-of-the-art radiation machine, projected to treat 800,000 patients over its 20-year lifespan. This strategic investment supports more accurate, effective cancer care across both urban centers and OGDCL’s remote operational districts.
Voices of Leadership:
OGDCL’s CSR Vision OGDCL’s MD/CEO, Ahmed Hayat Lak, emphasizes the company’s holistic approach:
“OGDCL believes in promoting community awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. This contribution underscores our commitment… to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of communities.”
Through initiatives like these, OGDCL continues to embed impactful health solutions within its core CSR agenda.
Aligning with National Healthcare Goals
This comprehensive cancer initiative aligns with global and national health goals—promoting early detection, investing in advanced medical infrastructure, and providing equitable access to care. By prioritizing breast cancer detection and treatment within marginalized communities, OGDCL is supporting sustainable improvements in public health and strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare ecosystem.
