OGDCL’s Drug Prevention Initiative with DOST Foundation
Towards social betterment, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has partnered with the DOST Welfare Foundation to combat drug addiction in Kohat, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the company operates. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, OGDCL launched a two-year community-led program aimed at drug prevention, rehabilitation, and reintegration, fully funded by the company and implemented by DOST’s experienced team.
Why Drug Prevention? Why Now?
Drug addiction remains a growing concern in many regions of Pakistan, particularly among youth. OGDCL identified Kohat as a high-risk area where increasing substance abuse is silently damaging families and social structures. As a responsible corporate entity with a strong community presence in the district, OGDCL recognized the urgent need to intervene.
Through this initiative, the company aims to reduce drug dependency, raise public awareness, and provide vulnerable individuals with opportunities for recovery and reintegration. What the Program Offers
The two-year initiative is already active in the Kohat district, where a dedicated service delivery center has been established to provide:

Impact So Far

Dozens of individuals have already been referred for treatment, and several have completed rehabilitation successfully.
