Farewell Lunch for Ambassador of Ethopia

Islamabad: Luncheon hosted by Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Additional Foreign Secretary to bid farewell to the Ambassador of Ethopia, Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula. Ambassador Khan extended his felicitations to the outgoing Ambassador on the completion of a fruitful and productive assignment in Pakistan and appreciated the contribution made by him in further strengthening the existing excellent bilateral ties between the two countries. Declaring Ethopia as a true and trusted friend of Pakistan. He expressed confidence that the bilateral relations would continue to grow in years to come.

Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula said Pakistan is an important country for the African continent and that Ethiopia holds its relationship with Pakistan in the highest esteem. He spoke about growing bilateral and multilateral cooperation in various areas including peace and security, climate change, trade and investment, culture, and tourism.

The lunch was also attended by the Heads of Mission of Africa, Ambassador of Italy, Ambassador of Iran, Mohamed Yahya, UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, Mr. Aziz Bolani, CEO Serena hotels, Mr. Usman Shaukat, President RCCI & others from business and media.
