Eid al-Adha celebrated, sacrifices continue into second day.

The first day of Eid al-Adha was celebrated across the country with great religious zeal and enthusiasm. Muslims gathered early in the morning to offer the special Eid prayers, where they prayed for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the entire Muslim Ummah. Following the prayers, families and individuals carried out the ritual of animal sacrifice, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.

People distributed meat among relatives, neighbors, and the less fortunate, reflecting the spirit of generosity and compassion that marks the occasion. Streets and neighborhoods were filled with activity, and the atmosphere was one of unity and celebration.

On the second day, the ritual of Qurbani (sacrifice) continued in many parts of the country. Those who couldn’t perform the sacrifice on the first day did so on the second, ensuring that the spiritual significance of Eid was fully observed.
