Dr. Muhammad Waqas Earns Prestigious Top 2% Scientists Recognition, Highlighting NUTECH’s Research Excellence
Islamabad – 16 March 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : National University of Technology (NUTECH) Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Muhammad Waqas from the NUTECH School of Applied Sciences and Humanities has been recognized among the “Top 2% Scientists”, an international distinction awarded to researchers with outstanding publication records and high citation impact in their respective fields.
According to the press note, the recognition ceremony honoring distinguished Pakistani researchers and scientists was held at the HEC Auditorium, organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
Speaking at the event, Chairman HEC Dr. Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, appreciated the rapid progress and academic contributions of NUTECH, noting that the University has made remarkable progress in a short period of time under the leadership of Rector NUTECH, Engr Moazzam Ejaz.
This achievement highlights NUTECH’s growing commitment to research excellence and reinforces its reputation for fostering impactful scholarship and innovation within Pakistan’s higher education sector.
