Art Exhibition Celebrates 75 Years of Pakistan–China Friendship

Minister of State Wajiha Qamar Graces the Exhibition as Chief Guest

Cultural Counsellor Chen Peng Applauds Artistic Expressions of Pak–China Friendship

Islamabad – 19 March, 2026 (MT Team) : – The “China–Pakistan Art Exhibition” was organized through the collaboration of China Media Group and the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), marking 75 years of diplomatic relations and the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.

The event was attended by the Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Chen Peng, as the Guest of Honour. In his remarks, Chen said the exhibition reflects the “timeless friendship between the two countries, founded on mutual trust, cultural harmony, and sustained cooperation.”

He added that the exhibition highlights the shared cultural heritage and creative expression of both nations through fine arts, promoting mutual understanding and closer people-to-people connections, thereby further strengthening the Pak–China friendship.

The event was graced by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, as the Chief Guest. In her address, she stated that the relationship between Pakistan and China goes beyond strategic or diplomatic dimensions and is deeply rooted at the people-to-people level, reflecting strong cultural and civilizational harmony.

She noted that the exhibition beautifully conveys this connection through colors and artistic expressions, emphasizing that such cultural initiatives not only strengthen bilateral ties but also educate the younger generation about the significance of this historic relationship.

Parliamentary Secretary for the National Heritage and Culture Division, Farah Naz Akbar, also expressed her views, highlighting that culture and fine arts play a vital role in bringing people closer. She stated that such exhibitions provide an effective platform for promoting mutual respect, cultural exchange, and harmony.

The exhibition showcased artworks by prominent artists from both Pakistan and China, which were highly appreciated by attendees from diverse walks of life, including Pakistani and Chinese participants. This exhibition is a significant initiative aimed at further strengthening cultural linkages and fostering greater people-to-people harmony between the two countries.
