A Cancer Survivor's Story Told Through Experimental Photography

Srosh Anwar, a communications professional and photographer in the development sector, highlights storytelling’s central role in her work, whether through writing, video, photography, or design Despite having spent much of her career as a documentary photographer, this latest series marked a personal milestone for her, as it was the first time she produced work based on her own experience as a cancer survivor. she not only expanded her artistic range but also found a way to communicate deeply personal experiences, blending technical experimentation with storytelling to convey her emotions in a profound and meaningful way.

Anwar primarily employs documentary and ethnographic techniques in her projects but recently explored new creative directions for a particular series. She experimented with a mix of photography genres, digital editing, and mixed media to push the boundaries of her usual approach.
