Chairman Pathfinder Group Zarrar Sehgal and Co-Chairman Ikram Sehgal hosted the launch of “National Security Strategy”, the 16th volume in Ikram Sehgal’s “A Personal Chronicle of Pakistan” series, at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, on Friday, July 17, 2026. The event brought together senior civil and military leaders, policymakers, diplomats, academics, and members of the strategic community to discuss Pakistan’s evolving national security landscape and the political, economic, and geopolitical developments that have shaped the country between 2002 and 2026.
The Chief Guest was Gen (Retd) Raheel Sharif, former Chief of Army Staff and Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC). The ceremony featured addresses by Prof Dr Huma Baqai, Air Marshal (Retd) Masood Akhtar, Ms Gulmina Bilal, Dr Salma Malik, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and the author, Ikram Sehgal, who shared their perspectives on the book and Pakistan’s contemporary national security challenges.
