PANAH’s Ghumman Calls for a Healthy-Strong Pakistan on 79th IndependenceDay

Rawalpindi – 13 August 2026 (MT Team) : General Secretary of the Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH), Sana Ullah Ghumman, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.

In his message, Sana Ullah Ghumman said that Independence Day is not only an occasion to remember freedom and the sacrifices of our national heroes, but also an opportunity to take care of the Pakistan entrusted to us by them and to make it stronger. For this, it is essential that the nation be healthy both mentally and physically. He said that since 1984, PANAH has been continuously working to improve the health and well-being of the people through awareness and the promotion of healthy policies and lifestyles. He emphasized that the strength of any nation lies in the health of its people.

“Only a healthy nation can build a strong country and a strong economy, educate its children, protect its families and play an effective role in the development of the country.”

Sana Ullah Ghumman urged citizens to make a healthy lifestyle an integral part of their daily lives, adopt a balanced diet, reduce the consumption of products high in sugar, salt and unhealthy fats, avoid tobacco, make physical activity part of their routine, and make informed decisions about their food choices. He said, “On this Independence Day, we should pledge that just as we value the freedom and future of our country, we will also protect our health. A healthy Pakistan is the foundation of a prosperous Pakistan.”

Sana Ullah Ghumman prayed for the progress, peace, prosperity and good health of the people of Pakistan and expressed hope that the nation would continue to move forward with unity, responsibility and a commitment to a healthy future.
