Rawalpindi – 31 July 2026 (Adnan Hameed) : A high-level defence delegation of the Republic of Belarus, led by Major General Muraveiko Pavel Nikolayevich, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Defence Minister, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, defence cooperation and prospects for enhanced military collaboration were discussed. The Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral defence ties underscoring the importance of expanding cooperation through joint training, exercises, technological collaboration and defence industrial partnership, says press note.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the remarkable progress achieved by Pakistan Air Force lauding operational preparedness, technological advancements and self-reliance initiatives. He expressed Belarus’ commitment to further expanding bilateral defence cooperation.
