(Local Round)

English Speaking Union Islamabad Pakistan held its annual
Declamation Contest IPSC-2026 at Roots International Schools
& Colleges H-8/4, Islamabad on Tuesday 17th March, 2026 at
4PM where DHM/Ambassador of Qatar was The Chief Guest.

Mr. Khalid Malik, President ESU Islamabad welcomed the Chief
Guest, Members of ESU, Principal, Students and other guests.

After the speech he declared the competition open. Declamation
contest was called to order by Brig.(Rtd.) Sardar Sajjad Hussain,
Acting Secretary General, ESU and the contest started with the
National Anthem and Recitation from Holy Quran. Students from
different schools & colleges of Islamabad participated in this
Contest. The Topic was “The power to Question is the basis of
all human progress.” Mrs. Indira Gandhi, 1st female Prime
Minister of India.

After competition of contest the result was announced by the vice
President ESU Mr. Syed Asif Shah. Three students become 1st
,2
nd and 3rd
.

In the end Mr. Khalid Malik President ESU presented a shield to
The Honorable Chief Guest.

The President also distributed the
prizes among the winners of the Declamation Contest and
Certificates to rest of the contestants. There was group photo.
Iftari was served after the Function.
