Islamabad – 8th December, 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan welcomes UAE investment in diverse sectors such as renewable energy, AI, minerals, agriculture and Fintech.
- He was addressing a ceremony in Islamabad tonight held to celebrate Eid al Etihad-the National Day of United Arab Emirates.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan takes great pride in its strategic partnership with UAE which continues to deepen across every domain of life.
He said our economic partnership stands as a shining example of this collaboration, with the UAE lending critical support to our economy.
Shehbaz Sharif said UAE’s remarkable journey of progress fills us with profound admiration for the leadership of UAE especially Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who was the real architect of this great brotherhood and friendship between Pakistan and the UAE.
He said we honour the enduring spirit of brotherhood that binds our two nations at the heart of which lies the 1.8 million Pakistanis who consider the UAE as their second home and who contribute tirelessly to its economic progress across diverse sectors.
Extending congratulations to the people and government of UAE, Shehbaz Sharif said may the coming years bring deeper cooperation, greater prosperity and enduring peace to Pakistan, UAE and the wider region.

Earlier, addressing the ceremony, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Alzaabi reaffirmed his country’s commitment to further strengthen partnership with Pakistan.
He said Pakistan has tremendous potential for collaboration in renewable energies, Artificial Intelligence, sustainability and economic diversification and together the two countries can drive forward innovation that is beneficial for the two nations as well as the wider region.
The UAE Ambassador also reiterated the resolve to broaden the horizon of Pak-UAE economic relations in a manner that truly reflects the depth and strength of their historic ties.
