High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan Pays Courtesy Call on Sri Lanka High Commissioner
Islamabad – 6 December 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : The High Commissioner Mohamed Thoha of Maldives paid a courtesy call on Rear Admiral (Rtd) Fred Senevirathne, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, on 04 December 2025 at the Official Residence of the High Commissioner in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both High Commissioners exchanged views on the longstanding friendship and strong bilateral ties between the Maldives and Sri Lanka, say’s press note.
High Commissioner Thoha expressed his sincere condolences on the devastation and loss of life caused by the recent Cyclone Ditwah.
High Commissioner Fred Senevirathne conveyed his appreciation to High Commissioner Thoha for his kind sentiments and condolences, and especially to the Government and the people of the Maldives for their generous support and financial assistance extended to those affected in Sri Lanka.
A. Christy Ruban, Minister of the High Commission of Sri Lanka, and Aminath Zuhudha, First Secretary of the Maldives High Commission, were also present at the meeting.
