ICBC Showcases Cross-Border Financial Services for Exporters at CIIE Event
ICBC and Chinese Embassy Highlight Trade Opportunities at CIIE Roadshow in Pakistan
Islamabad – 12 September 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : A promotion event for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Islamabad, organized by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Karachi Branch under the guidance of the CIIE Bureau, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). Leading Pakistani business associations including FPCCI, and nearly 40 exporters from agriculture and food sectors, actively participated.
Speaking at the event, Chinese Embassy Minister-Counselor Yang Guangyuan praised Pakistan’s strong performance in previous Expos and emphasized the shared commitment of both governments to expand trade and investment for mutual benefit. ICBC, as Pakistan’s largest foreign commercial bank and core financial service provider for CPEC, presented its specialized cross-border financial solutions, pledging comprehensive support to Pakistani exporters in settlement, financing, and trade facilitation, says press note.
The 8th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5–10, 2025. Serving as a global platform for trade and cooperation, the Expo offers Pakistani enterprises a valuable opportunity to access China’s vast consumer market and expand exports, while injecting fresh momentum into China-Pakistan economic relations.
